This cover from the Express newspaper supplement magazine Saturday, features a fabulous photo of Joan, who was appearing that week on ITV , in her special "Joan Does Glamour". It was hoped that there would be more glamour from Joan on ITV, however apparently they cant afford to film anymore with Joan, but may use one of their payroll presenters. They probably spent their budget on the mind numbing world cup!
I love that picture. Though heavily retouched, it captures a softer side of Joan. Love it ;-)
ReplyDelete"At last" I think were my words when Joan's appearance on this cover hit the news stands - yes, agree what a great picture(OK, retouched), but why did it take the newspaper so long to feature Joan on their weekly magazine cover?
ReplyDeletePatsy Kensit has featured 4 times between 2002 & 2007 and Dame Helen Mirren has made 3 appearances (2003-2006) perhaps we can hope Joan will grace the cover again in the not too distant future.
Richard.. I agree..considering all the appearances on TV she has done over the years. Sick of looking at non entities from Eastenders and Emmerdale or The Bill on these weekend mags..At least they did a new shoot for it..
