As Konigsbrunn Castle prepares for all the excitement and drama of a classic car race, the arrival of the glamorous and mysterious Lady Joan and her latest beau Prince Philippe Zu Hohenfelden causes even more high drama!

'Forbidden Love - Verbotene Liebe' was one of Germany longest running soap dramas which ran from 1995 until it was cancelled in 2015 after 4664 episodes. The series was created by Reg Watson, whose other successes were the classic uk drama 'Crossroads', not to mention the cult classic Australian series 'Prisoner', 'Neighbours' and 'Sons and Daughters' on which 'Forbidden Love' storylines and characters were based. The series was nominated for eight German Soap Awards and won three.

'' Joan Collins appearance gives the show much glamour and touch of Hollywood. It's an honour that Joan decided to accept the role of the mysterious Lady Joan, it speaks volumes about our shows cult status. The role is similar to that of her legendary character Alexis as she arrives at Konigsbrunn Palace for a classic car race. Accompanied by the good looking but penniless Prince Philippe, but will there be a happy ending!'

The series is mostly set in Dusseldorf, with additional locations in Cologne and some storylines set in Mallorca in Spain. The show originally focused on the wealthy Anstetton family and the middle class Brandner family. The title 'Forbidden Love' came from the relationship between characters Jan Brandner and Julia Von Anstetten who meet and fall in love, unaware they are in fact twins seperated by their parents. 

By the time Joan appeared in the series for three episodes, the focus was centred on the Wolf family and the aristocratic Lahnstein family.. As its such a long running series, there has been numerous dvd's of selected episodes, but I am not aware of Joan's three episodes on release..
