'Will & Grace' is one of the big hit sitcoms of all time and it originally ran for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006, then returning to screens for three more seasons from 2016 to 2019. Joan appears as a top New York interior designer Helena Barnes whom Grace has admired for many years and who Karen knows only too well.. Joan was due to reprise this role in a later episode, but when she read the script she hated it so much that she couldn't bring herself to do it and the role was switched to a character called Beverly Leslie played by Leslie Jordan.. Joan plays the role to the hilt, sending herself up in a famous scene in a taco bar, where she is seen stuffing a filled taco into her mouth whilst talking to her dog which she keeps in her Vuitton bag.. Wonderful!
