Framed and convicted for the murder of her wealthy husband, Risa must prove her innocence.. Escaping from custody, she vows to clear her name, with help of her mother, Ariana. She soon discovers her late husband was not the man she loved and trusted. The truth can be deadly.. Where lies can form a Sweet Deception!

Joan with Joanna Pacula

This cable movie made in association with The Family Channel, features a cast of popular faces and is an entertaining thriller. Joan only appears in a couple of scenes, early scripts had a larger role but due to many revisions her role was shortened. Joan plays an interesting character as she dons a blonde wig and plays a wheelchair bound beautician, mother to Joanna Pacula's character, who was left unable to walk due to a robbery shooting. There is little background available on the film, Joan accepted the role as she previously appeared in 'Hart To Hart in Three Quarter Time', which was also produced for The Family Channel.

Joan with Rob Stewart

Original Script
Originally scripted as 'Sweet Lies', it was released under 'Sweet Deception' and apart from a couple of video releases in the 90's, the film has never appeared on dvd, turning up on various cable and streaming channels. Hopefully it may get a dvd release at some point..
