Fan's of legendary costume designer Nolan Miller will be thrilled to hear that many of his classic design sketches for some of Hollywood's Legendary ladies including Joan along with Bette Davis, Ann Miller, Barbara Stanwyck, Susan Hayward, Ginger Rodgers, Cyd Charisse, Ann Margret, Diahann Carroll, Sophia Loren, Carol Channing, Lucille Ball, Eva Gabor & Joan Crawford and many others, will go up for auction on July 18th online and at Julien's Auctions exclusive Beverly Hills location.

Sketches of dresses worn by Dame Joan Collins, Elizabeth Taylor, and Farrah Fawcett are to go under the hammer at an upcoming Julien’s Auctions sale.
The Property from the Estate of Nolan Miller auction takes place on 18 July in Beverly Hills, with collectors also able to participate online.
The event features a collection of 127 lots, including more than 100 costume sketches. Highlights include a series of watercolor on board costume sketches for the series Dynasty, including a Collins costume sketch inscribed from the actress to Miller; several sketches of Taylor, including a sketch of the gown she wore as a presenter at the 1987 Academy Awards and a sketch of the gown she wore to the 1985 Golden Globe Awards inscribed from Taylor to Miller; and a Charlie’s Angels costume sketch and photograph inscribed from Fawcett to Miller.
Bette Davis and Ginger Rogers sketches also feature, as well as photographs, letters, notes, correspondence, and awards.
Commenting on the respected designer, who passed away in 2012, Collins stated: “All of these stars loved him, as I did.”
The brochure notes explain the late Miller, whose designs epitomised Hollywood glamour, not only designed garments for the original leading ladies of cinema but he also developed close friendships with Rogers, Davis, Collins, Taylor, Lana Turner, Lucille Ball, Sophia Loren, and Joan Crawford, among many others.
He brought the “fashion fantasy previously reserved for film to television and established a working relationship and friendship with Aaron Spelling”.
“He would create his most iconic and memorable looks for the television series Dynasty, which ran from 1981 to 1989. Joan Collins’ wardrobe from the series still inspires admirers to elevate their style goals,” the notes add....
