IT. IS. HAPPENING.
Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter today that the highly anticipated Murder House/Coven crossover will be this year’s installment of American Horror Story.

Murphy originally broke the news of this crossover exclusively with EW two years ago. “There will be characters from Murder House and characters from Coven together,” he told the audience at EW’s PopFest.
It’s still unclear how this will play out in the series, but Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, who both appeared in Murder House and Coven, will be back.
Murder House was the initial season of AHS and followed a family in a haunted house, while season 3’s Coven was about a New Orleans school for witches.
Murphy did tell EW a few weeks ago that this season would have a lot of returning fan favorites, and now we know why. “You will see so many fan favorites return that you’ll feel like it’s The Love Boat,” Murphy teased. “It’s a very high concept. It’s a season unlike anything we’ve done because there’s a big hook to it. There’s a huge thing that happens in episode 5.”
