The Children's Trust Gala event was hosted by Nick and Holly Candy, and was one of the first for the millionaire couple's new charity which helps support children, disability rights, and cancer and Alzheimer’s research. The Event raised £550,000.
Dame Joan Collins, Rory Bremner and David Walliams – who was the compere for the event – all turned out to support the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury.
Double Brit Award winner Ellie Goulding entertained 250 guests with an acoustic set at the Tower of London.
Among the invitees was nine-year-old Seb Goold, who was joined on stage by his mother Tracey after successfully completing intensive rehabilitation at The Children’s Trust specialist centre.
The youngster suffered life-threatening head and leg injuries when he fell from the exit door of a double-decker coach in April 2011, but is now back at home and school with his twin brother Ben.
Holly Candy, who was recently announced as an Ambassador for The Children’s Trust, said: “I am very proud to be working with The Children’s Trust. I visited the charity last year and was moved by the bravery of the children and the care and dedication of the staff working there.

"Nick and I were inspired to do something special to help give this amazing charity an even greater voice. Like every parent, we cherish our child and cannot imagine what we would do if anything happened to her.
"The Children’s Trust is one of those amazing places you know would be there to help should the worst happen.”
