17th September 2014
A children's hospice is set to benefit from the glad rags of actress Joan Collins.
She has donated clothing and handbags to Shooting Star Chase.
The items are on sale at their new charity shop which opened today in Guildford.
Shooting Star Chase's director of fundraising, Karen Sugarman, said: "We are thrilled that Joan has kindly donated some fantastic items which offer people the chance to own a piece of history and help raise funds for our vital cause. Within the first few hours of opening the store had made £600 with the sale of some of Joan's items.
"Joan has been a fantastic supporter of the charity for many years - appearing on Celebrity Deal or No Deal, Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and hosting endless fundraising events - and we are so grateful for the huge difference she makes."
