Joan Collins Summer Makeup
Joan Collins launched her own line of cosmetics earlier this year, and I blogged about them over on my own site , Beauty Bombshells. Joan is undoubtedly a Bombshell, still looking fabulous in her 80s!
For summer, available in July, she’s launching a few new additions to her collection, including a couple of products with the same name of another favourite Bombshell – Marilyn Monroe! There’s the Divine Lips Lipstick in Marilyn (£18), an easy to wear neutral with warm terracotta tones, and a slight shimmer. The lipsticks are creamy and moisturising, containing hyaluronic acid for gorgeous smooth lips.
To match, there’s the Marilyn Nail Lacquer (£13). I absolutely LOVE the retro style packaging on the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty nail polishes. If you are a retro fan like me, you will too, I am sure. The polish itself is lovely, great coverage, and doesn’t chip easily. This shade is exactly the same as the lipstick, lovely neutral shade for summer.
The latest Glorious Gloss lipgloss (£18) to the collection is Piper – a dusky pink with a hint of pearlesence. These are all lovely neutral summer shades, really wearable, and absolutely perfect for glamorous octogenarians like Joan!
Finally, my favourite new product is the Beauty Brow & Eye Definition Kit (£25). Bombshells like Joan Collins never have an eyebrow out of place! This kit contains three powders, a wax and accessories to help create the perfect brow and eye area. The wax helps fix the brows and grip the powders. The brown powder is perfect for brow touch-ups, the highlighting power goes under the brow, and the charcoal powder works brilliantly as a wet or dry eyeliner, or mix it with the brown for darker brows. The kit includes mini tweezers, a spiral brush and a double ended brush for wax and powder. All in a gorgeous compact.
