Joan will feature in HGTV channels popular tv series 'Selling New York' in their new fall season.. Date TBC... Joan has had her fabulous NY apartment on the market for some time.. 'Selling New York' presenters and Core brokers Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon put Joan's three bedroom, three bathroom back on the market for $2.35 million after interior designer John Lyle added $1million worth of luxury furnishings and art pieces to enhance the decor originated by Joan.. Joan met the guys at Michael Feinstein's house at a dinner party with Liza Minnelli and Elaine Stritch.. After the deal was set at a party held by Suzanne Somer's, John Lyle set about giving the apartment a makeover by adding vintage Chanel chairs at $10,000 each! Moroccan and Insian hand woven carpets at $180,000 and mirrored bedside tabels for $14,000...Although Joan shipped much of her own favourite pieces to her other homes, she did leave various portraits of herself to leave a superstar ambience. Joan loved the finished look as she has always done her own interior design on all her homes through the years, of which there were many.. Joan has always had a keen interest in interior design, even to the point she planned to open her own agency in the early 80's, just before she landed the iconic role of Alexis on 'Dynasty'.
