It was with great sadness that Joan broke the news to her fans and followers that one of her best friends, Nolan Miller passed away yesterday in Hollywood.. Nolan who was one of the most prolific of TV, Film and Theatre costume designers, will be forvever remembered for his work with Aaron Spelling and his many hit shows, notably 'Dynasty'.. Nolan also designed the wardrobes of many legendary Hollywood ladies, including Barbara Stanwyck, Bette Davis, Lana Turner, Ann Margret, Ann Miller, Ginger Rodgers, Joan Crawford and of course Joan C!... Nolan's gowns were seen as far back as 1965, when he created costumes for Anne Francis in an episode of the hit series 'Burkes Law', he continued to design for Anne who appeared in her own series 'Honey West'

From the late 70's right up to the 90's, Nolan worked on all of Aaron Spelling's many tv movies and weekly shows including Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Vegas!, Charlie's Angel's, Hart to Hart, Matt Houston, Hotel, The Colby's and of course Dynasty.. When Nolan teamed up with Joan on Dynasty, they became the toast of the 80's for style and glamour.Even to this day, Joan continued to comission gown for her many events and her one woman show..Nolan also had a very sucessful career on QVC with his jewellry line and other products. Sad as we are of the news of his passing, at least we still can enjoy the many thousands of glamorous and stylish costumes that will forever adorn the many legendary stars who have appeared in the hundreds of hours of film and television that will rerun for ever and ever!
