DYNASTY REVISITED : EPISODE 5 ... "CRISIS TO CRISIS"

                                                            REVISITED .....
Last time on DYNASTY REVISITED ...... Sable Colby returns to Denver to sell her hotel.. Alexis is the buyer and has great plans for The Carlton... Apart from delving into Frank Mulligan's background, Alexis meets Dex's son, while Sable is shocked at how much Franks looks like her dead lover.. Alexis is horrified to discover that Fallon has been shot........
ALEXIS HAPPY WITH HER NEW PROTECTOR FRANK!

Alexis paced the hallway of Denver Memorial hospital, as she had done on many occasions. She prayed that her daughter would live, if only the doctors would tell her something. It was always the same, an agonising wait that seemed like eternity. Alexis was in no doubt as to who was behind this latest incident. She had phoned Blake to inform him, he was on his way, terribly distraught when she broke the news to him. How she hated relating bad news, especially at a time when she was suffering even more. Alexis recalled her ordeal, after she was shot, the bullet had grazed her head, a bullet fired from a gun by a man, who ironically saved her life and then in time tried to take it away again. Sean Rowan was a man consumed by hatred, madness and worst of all vengeance. The son of Joseph Anders, the late devious major domo to Blake Carrington. Joseph was also father of the empty headed Kirby, she who threatened to become part of the family again by marrying Adam. Alexis had no time for Kirby Anders or her maniacal family, she had always thought Kirby to be a trifle mad! It was as if her large eyes were ready to pop at any given moment. Somewhat reminiscent of a buxom Marty Feldman! Alexis shuddered as she thought about her short marriage to the monstrous Sean. She could not even remember loving him, maybe she married him out of gratitude for saving her life. Could he have hated her that much, to warrant trying to kill her? She had survived a bullet, but he did not give up and would have succeeded if not for Dex's intervention! How vulnerable she had felt when he burst into her bathroom and held her a gunpoint, demanding the contents of her safety deposit box. Dex saved her life and how grateful she had been and how much she had loved him. Alexis began to cry, she missed him, it was time to finally admit that fact.
"Mrs Colby! Your daughter is going to be fine! She has suffered a mild concussion. Luckily the bullet only grazed the side of her head, she is a very lucky lady! But I hate to have to tell you.. we were unable to save the baby.. I am so sorry!"
Alexis sighed.. A sigh of mixed emotion, a sigh of relief that Fallon was going to recover, but yet a sigh of sadness that she had lost her baby. Although if she was honest, it maybe was for the best, at least for the sake of Fallon's marriage to Jeff.
JEFFREY COLBY, DEVOTED TO FALLON!
Jeffrey Colby loved his wife dearly, he did not know what he would do if anything happened to her. He did know she had a lot of worry on her mind, if only she would confide in him. She was not her usual bubbly self, the strong, ballsy woman he had known since they were children. Jeff made his way to the emergency room, out of breath he managed to ask an approaching doctor about his wife's condition.
"Fallon Colby! How is she? Can I see her?"
Jeff tried to keep as calm as he possibly could, but his emotions overflowed to the point of tears.
"Mr Colby! Your wife is fine. She has been shot.. Thankfully the bullet only grazed the side of her head. I am sorry to say, we could not save the baby!"
Jeff put his hand to his forehead in disbelief, he could not help but think this was the reason for her strangeness. The doctor walked away to allow him some time to himself, with that Alexis emerged from a doorway down the hall.
"Jeff! Fallon is going to be fine! Thank God! I was so afraid that we were going to lose her!"
Alexis took his hands, to reassure him, she could almost feel his pain and worry.
"Alexis! Did you know about Fallon's pregnancy? I certainly didn't!"
Jeff was puzzled, he knew by Alexis's reaction that she had prior knowledge.
"Listen Jeff! Fallon was out of her mind with worry over this. She longed to tell you about it. She was so overjoyed when she first discovered she was pregnant. Then she found out she was too far along for the baby to be yours!"
Alexis's voice trembled, she had to relate the facts to him carefully without making them sound like the worst news he had ever heard.
"Let me guess.. Miles Colby! She could have told me. We love each other. I am her husband dammit!"
Jeff wanted to believe that if she had told him, he would have understood and accepted the fact. But he recalled the doomed marriage to Kirby and her revelation that the child she was carrying, was not his baby, but in fact Adam's. He could not accept that and the marriage ended. Jeff needed time alone to think things over, he turned and left Alexis standing all alone as he could not face seeing Fallon at this moment in time. Alexis sighed and returned to Fallon's bedside, she was too tired to even try and persuade him to stay and see his wife...
CAN JEFF AND FALLON'S MARRIAGE SURVIVE?
"Fallon darling! You are going to get well again. You are nothing if not a survivor."
Alexis held her daughters hand and even though she had yet to awaken, she knew she could somehow hear her.
"What is her condition Alexis? What the hell happened?"
Blake had arrived, Krystle trailing behind him like the perennial lap dog, she resembled!
"She is going to recover. It is a miracle, the bullet only grazed the side of her head. No prizes for guessing who is behind this barbaric act of attempted murder!"
Blake knew only too well that Jeremy Van Dorn was more than likely to be the instigator of this savage assault on his daughter.
"Damn that maniac! When will he finish this pointless vendetta?"
Blake stood on the opposite side of the bed, facing Alexis.
"Blake! What can we do? Jeremy Van Dorn is as cunning as he is elusive. Until he shows himself, how can we possibly track him down?"
That was one question that at this moment had no answers...

With Alexis spending time at the hospital, Frank Mulligan had time on his hands, he was beginning to enjoy his new position, he had to admit, Alexis Colby is one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen. Along with her beauty, she possessed such strength and success. She was a woman who had entered the man's world of big business, who fought her way to the top and stayed there! He admired her, she must surely be a role model for women the world over! Frank sat in the bar of The Carlton hotel, a cool beer in front of him. He took a look around, wondering what ideas Alexis had in mind for the hotel. What ever they were, he was certain they would be in a class of her own!
"Mr Mulligan! I see she has let you off the leash! May I join you?"
Sable Colby could not resist having a talk with Dex's double.
"Mrs Colby! I understand you don't get along with my employer, but I can assure you I never travel on anyone's leash!"
Sable gave a subtle smile at her apparent ruffling of the macho man's feathers.
" I do apologise if I have offended you. I am only too aware of how much Alexis can get her grasping hands onto something or someone and put it or them down!"
Frank could tell by the aggression in her voice, that she had a deep loathing for the woman he had come to truly admire.
"She is certainly a formidable woman. I don't think she intends putting people down, she just has a strong character!"
Sable was glad to be rid of this hotel and even though she had not received orders to leave her suite, she intended doing so. She was certain Alexis would not get the opportunity to relish the actions of ordering her out! Alexis had proven to be as predictable as ever in buying 'The Carlton'. At one time Sable would have been furious at the knowledge of Alexis owning anything belonging to her! But all that was really important to her now was her young son, who meant the world to her. Sable intended to try and channel all her energy into bringing up her son, with the help of the boy's nanny, Victoria, of course! Sable had enough work to keep herself occupied, so having a nanny provided her with ample time to develop that work. She had always been creative, with ambitions to write a book, a book she was now working on! She had already received an advance from a publishing house, with three quarters of the book written in longhand as a first draft. The mighty Colby family had a lifetime of stories and scandals that the public would gladly devour in hardback form! Sable had high hopes for her expose of the Colby Dynasty! Tales of her former husband, the mighty Jason Colby, who thought of himself as God, if not Moses! Then there was Constance Colby, or at least there was! The late Connie, still casting her beady eyes over the family, no doubt. Not forgetting Cecil Colby, whose one grave mistake, sent him there with Alexis to wave him off! Poor Cecil.. His death bed doubled as his marital bed, when the viper Alexis married him at the point of death. A death she somehow orchestrated with her deadly charms. Alexis the black widow! Sable knew she would be stirring up hornets nest, with her tales of her dear deceitful Jason, in the arms of her own flesh and blood, the unmentionable Francesca. Both of them were well matched, she with her manufactured sweetness and light and him old enough to know better, sporting a bad toupee! How she could not wait for her book to hit the shelves, finally she would have her written revenge! Sable wondered if she despised Francesca even more than she did Alexis? Francesca was Jeff's mother, a pitiful creature, with Jason falling for Francesca's desperate charms then marriage, after her psychopathic ex-husband abducted her and their car went off a cliff, with Jason in tow by helicopter. Frank sipped his beer while Sable sat watching him, admiring his handsome good looks.
"Alexis must be quite a change, from all the little Miss innocents you must be used to guarding. After all Miss and Innocents are two words that are farcical regarding Alexis Colby!"
Sable smiled artificially at Frank, who by now had quite enough of her berating  the woman who he thought beyond criticism.
"I admire her and could not think of anyone more beautiful or admirable to work for!"
Sable clutched her purse so tight, the contents had no chances of survival! Frank had finished his beer and was about to leave Sable bitching to herself when a distraught woman came rushing towards them.
"Mrs Colby! I only took my eyes of him for a moment! He kicked his ball down the driveway. I looked everywhere but Dex Jr is missing!"
Victoria Andrews was almost at the point of hysteria, with Sable destined to follow suit.
"You stupid little bitch! You are employed to watch him every second of the day. I want the entire grounds searched. We must find my son!"
Sable could not believe it, her son was abducted, yards away from her and there was nothing she could do. Frank put his arms around her, it was his job to protect and comfort, if the need arose. He had a sinking feeling that somehow Jeremy Van Dorn was behind this. What purpose would it serve kidnapping Sable son? Only time would tell......
