An event that is a hilight of the Beverly Hills Social scene is The Carousel Of Hope Ball, which was held earlier this evening at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Hosted by society matriarch Barbara Davis, who launched the event recently at the Legendary Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The Ball is an invitation only, black tie event which raises money for The Barbara Davis Center For Childhood Diabetes, a cause much lauded by Barbara. Entertainment for this years's ball featured the legendary Gladys Knight, along with Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony.. Barbara has raised over $75 million over the events 32 year history. Barbara is the widow of oil tycoon Marvin Davis, who also owned 20th Century Fox at one time. Incidently an episode of Dynasty featured scenes filmed at the 1983 ball, held in Denver.. Joan and Percy attended the ball, as Joan is a good friend of Barbara's for many years and along with Percy are on the COH Committee. Other guests included Jane Fonda , Quincy Jones, Raquel Welch, Paris Hilton, Rod Stewart and the fabulous Donna Mills. A great night was had by all!
Joan looks incredible! Looks like she has been scoffing Nikki Haskell's Starshape pills - very svelte! Love the outfit choice - sleek, Chanel style suits Joan best!
ReplyDeleteThat's right John, she looks thinner and as glamorous as ever. Hats off to Donna Mills who looks exactly like she did when she was in Knots Landing some 25 years ago. Whatever it is these women are taking, I'm having the same ;-)
