In June 2000 Joan became the spokesperson for a new satellite channel called "Channel Health". Joan was to have her own weekly series on the channel, based around her book "My Friends Secrets", Joan had filmed a few interviews with people like Shirley MacLaine. But the series never got broadcast as the channel failed to take off, as it where. Joan was seen on screen in a promo ad, proclaiming the benefits of the channel and she filmed an interview with the channels presenter Hazel Courteney for her programme " Highly Alternative ".
