ON THE SET ; LADY GODIVA RIDES AGAIN. 1951


Here is a photo of Joan from 1951, taken on the set of her first film "Lady Godiva Rides Again". Joan is seen here with fellow starlet Madeleine Mona as they admire each other's chain bracelets! They were taking a break from filming at the Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone. While both ladies were making their debut, Miss Mona failed to make another film, Joan went on to a lengthy and continuing career!     Apparently Ruth Ellis appeared as one of the beauty queen contestants, but whereas Joannie is easy to spot - who could miss her - in her brief appearance I have never been able to catch sight of Ruth.
