Just like to mention that Joan has a new official fan club that she would love all
her admirers and fans to join. It is run by John Williams who is based in New York and he meets with Joan on a regular basis to oversee the running of the club. John also has a wonderful website that welcomes you into the Glamorous world of Joan and her luxurious penthouse in Glamourland!!.. * see links on home page*. Well...I joined the club (and paid my membership) some TWO months ago and still have not received anything from them...was it that long for you too Mark?

ReplyDeleteI am the same as Olivier, I too joined and paid membership back in April - I have sent two emails to the address shown on the site requesting confirmation that my membership was accepted and heard nothing. Knowing what a hectic schedule Joan has, having belonged to the UK fan club for a number of years, I expect to wait for signed photos but non reply to e-mails does not give a very good impression.

ReplyDeleteWell I wrote to the fan-club and John answered in a matter of hours so I'm completely reassured now. Thank you Mark for your good advice!! Can't wait to get my signed picture now ;-)

Mark, I have received a reply from John and he assures me the welcome packet is en route. Although he offered to refund the membership, I don't want to do this. Like yourself as a life long fan of Joan, I want to belong to a fan club that keeps me informed of her work/projects and appearances that mean so much to us, her fans, especially since the closure of her UK fan club.
