DYNASTY REVISITED : EPISODE 23.. PARTING SHOTS ..

                                                REVISITED ..
The story so far ....
Fallon encounters Dylan on the same road he met Krystle, she offers to help him gain employment at Alexis's new hotel.. Monica Colby comes face to face with Max Benaducci, not realising how dangerous he is ... While on their way to the court hearing, Alexis and Amanda are told Van Dorn has died in a road accident..
********In the true tradition of the nightime drama, have decided to take a break until the Autumn.*****
Alexis could hardly believe Jeremy Van Dorn was dead, all over in a flash, literally! She found the whole incident breathtaking, but relieved that the court hearing had ended, before it even began. If only she could sort out Amanda's problem with the dreaded Max Bonaducci. She had received a telephone call from Sable to let her know that Monica had encountered Max at The Ritz Carlton. She mentioned how he had been using his producer moniker, Maxwell La Ducci. Monica had not been aware of the threat he possessed as regards to Amanda, or of the abuse he had inflicted on her. There was little that could be done until he surfaced again and Victor advised Alexis not to get the police involved as he would try and sort it himself. Alexis agreed to go along with that, she would try and forget about Max until tomorrow at least.. After all she had the social event of the season to host, she had put alot of time and effort into it. Alexis surveyed her new suite, she was excited at the freshness of it all, the decor all to her own taste. She truly embraced a change of scenery, it kept her effervescent, full of vitality! A whole new scene was what she needed, she had put her penthouse on the market, most of it's contents included. It was amazing how much one accumalated, after selecting her favourite pieces of art deco, photographs and momentos, all the rest she left.. Her wardrobe was another task, after some deliberation she managed to select a few essential gowns and other pieces, her furs were almost a part of her, fashionable or not, she had them years, why should she part with them now? The remainder of her designer wardrobe would be auctioned off for charity, she favoured many, she helped alot. Perusing through her to do list, it was pleasing to see all the boxes were now ticked, it was all systems go! Alexis poured hereslf a scotch and cola to get her in the party mood, a knock on her suite door heralded the arrival of her son Steven, who had just flown in from Washington for the event.
"Darling! So good to see you! On your own?"
Steven kissed his mother and sat down.
"Bart had some business in town.. He will be with me tonight. Danny is gone skiing with a couple of his mates.. It is probably best at his age to have some time away with his friends. He sends his love.."
Alexis had to agree, teenage years can be difficult, it would do him no harm to have his own space.
"Have you had any contact with Sammy Jo? No more threats or ultimatums?"
Steven left his seat to go and pour himself a large scotch.
"No! I haven't seen or heard from her since.. She will never give up.. She thrives on confrontation.. Hopefully we wont have to worry about her for much longer!"
Alexis stood behind him now, her hand on his shoulder.
"Darling! As soon as the hotel is fully open, I will put our plan in motion. What with my unrated dvd, plus a few choice witnesses, little miss bimbo won't even get parental rights for a Chihuahua!"
Steven gave his mother a half hearted smile. He wished it was that easy to rid himself of his self centered ex-wife. Only time would tell..
Monica Colby was shocked at the level, Maxwell La Ducci had sunk too in his torment of Amanda. If only she had known Maxwell was the cause of Amanda and Connie fleeing to Denver. Her mother had known about it all, but had promised to keep the semi secret. She had to admit, she had sensed a difference in him, since the last time she had seen him in Hollywood. Gone was the suave, smooth talking, well groomed Maxwell, so called Hollywood producer.. What she now found was an unsteady, unshaven, yet still handsome predator. Monica sat in the lounge of  The Ritz Carlton, as she had the day before.. Dominique Deveraux was indeed in the building, on her way down from her suite. Monica only hoped Maxwell did not put in another appearance, as she was not prepared for him, she could hardly perform a citizens arrest!
"Monica Darling! Finally! Damn snow grounded me at JFK. Irving was certainly not stuck at a busy airport when he wrote 'White Christmas'! Thank heavens for the VIP lounge!"
Dominique gave Monica an air kiss, then collapsing into a waiting chair.
"Never mind.. You are here in one fabulous piece! What is this wonderful news you are dying to tell me?"
Dominique smiled, leaning forward in her seat, excitement overcame her..
"It's sensational news! My good friend Jonathan De Wolffe has persuaded me to make a comeback. I am going on a tour of the good old US of A! Europe is also on the cards.. I am in talks to cut an album. How exciting is that?"
Dominique was elated, Monica was pleased for her, she was a true talent, with many fans out there.
"Fabulous news! I want a front row seat! You do know it is cd's now? They got rid of 78's ages ago!"
They both laughed.
"Hilarious darling! I gather Alexis will be belle of the ball tonight. Making her grand entrance as usual. That woman is a viper in panty hose, but Jonathan asked me to be his guest.. to be honest I am a little curious to see what she has done with the hotel."
They both agreed on all counts, a cute waiter arrived to take their order, coffee all round with delicious scottish shortbreads on the side. They both had lots to chat about, too consumed to see a man watching them from across the room.Max Bonaducci decided a makeover was in order, a wet shave, some casual clothes, his hair cropped, he needed to blend in. He was determined to find Amanda, although it was not now a case of finding her, but getting access. Monica Colby could be the answer, he would keep a tail on her, the time would finally come for a reunion!

Invitations in hand, suits immaculate, gowns necklines plunging, fabric glittering, the good and the great were arriving at The Morell Plaza, welcomed by the lure of Kristal and the decadency of Beluga Caviar. Alexis had yet to make her grand entrance, she put the finishing touches to her makeup, sprayed enough scent to leave them wanting more, looked in the mirror to apply an extra coat of lip gloss. She did look fabulous, why wait for anyone to tell her so! She adjusted the neckline on her gown, the clearout of her wardrobe unearthed some vintage treasures. She decided on a jungle red Valentino floor length gown, she congradulated herself on been able to still fit into it, over twenty years later! She adjusted her fringe, made sure her Cartier ear-rings were secure, just about to leave the suite when a knock came to her door.
"Alexis! Before you go down to meet your guests, I just wanted to let you know I have been down to the police department. Jeremy Van Dorn was definately killed in the crash!"
Frank Mulligan knew she had been concerned that maybe he had faked his death, as the man seemed to have lifespan of a cat.
"That is comforting news! Did they say what actually happened? Was it just a fortunate accident?"
Alexis would never wish anyone dead, however she would be lying if she said she had not wanted to see the back of him.
"They think he might have tried to escape the vehicle. Had a struggle with the accompanying officer, it may have disturbed the driver who went out of control. The main thing is you don't have to worry about him again."
With that they both left the peace and solitude of the suite to face the invited throng.

Alexis made her grand entrance down the main staircase of the hotel, her handsome protector Frank on her arm. Victor had promised to come by early and escort her, but he had sent her a text to say he would be late, he had a lead on Max.
"Jonathan lovely to see you. Looking dapper as always. Well I don't believe it! Dominique Devereaux I don't recall inviting you. Still warbling on the lounge circuit? All those years of lounging has  made you lizard like!"
Alexis had not expected to see Blake's half-sister here, it had been quite a while since they met.
"Why thank you Alexis! Good to see even though time has certainly aged you, your sense of the absurd has not diminished. Jonathan is going to manage me now. I am making a comeback. Going on tour, not to mention a new album."
Alexis looked at Jonathan bemused.
"Jonathan you were always into charity cases. Good luck darling!"
With that she walked away to mingle with the rest of her guests who were still arriving.
Blake and Krystle stood chatting with Sable and Monica about the situation with Amanda.
"I do think Alexis should have called the police. Victor Bonaducci is hardly a moral citizen. Amanda can be so like her mother sometimes, mixing with unsuitable men."
Blake was concerned for his daughter, what could he do if they insisted on keeping the police out of it.
"I never trusted Max, too full of himself. Let us just hope he can be captured before he goes off the deep end!"
Monica looked at Sable, she hoped all would sort itself.
"Would you excuse me while I check out the ladies room?"
Krystle excused herself from the group and made her way to the lobby powder room. She followed the sign as best as she could, but somehow found herself off course. She spotted a waiter standing in the distance, his back to her.
"Young man would you be kind enough to direct me to the powder room?"
Krystle stood behind him, when he turned to face her she got quite a shock.
"Hello Krystle! Surprised to see me here? Fallon Colby recommended me for a job. Who was I to argue."
Krystle did not know quite what to say, Dylan was the last person she expected to see.
"I thought we agreed we would not see each other again. How did you get involved with Fallon?"
Dylan smiled, unfazed at her unease.
"Met her on the highway. Same as we met. My sister adored your family you know! That is until you all turned your back on her! Of course it all began when you had an affair with her husband!"
Krystle was dumfounded. What on earth was he talking about?
"Dylan! Who is your sister? I haven't a clue what you are talking about."
Dylan grabbed her arm. Thoughts of the past tranformed his persona.
"Claudia Blaisdel was my sister! She had a nervous breakdown when you tore her family apart. It may have been years ago.. But I need to seek closure. Someone has to pay for killing her!"
Krystle's heart began to race as he tightened his grip on her arm. She had to get away, to alert the others. What could she do?

Alexis was enjoying herself, catching up with old friends, she was  chatting with Steven and Bart when Frank whispered in her ear that he needed to see her alone. They went into the office behind the reception desk.
"Frank! What is the matter? Has something happened?"
Frank looked uneasy, she sensed bad news..
"Alexis! Just got a call from the New York bureau. It's Steven's ex-wife Sammy Jo.. She is dead!"
Alexis sat down with the shock. Yesterday Jeremy Van Dorn and now another of her least favourite people.
"My god! How did it happen? I can't believe it."
Frank had just recieved a text message on his mobile phone.
"Alexis! Just got a tip off. The police are here to see Steven!"
They both returned to the party to find Steven, to break the news, to warn him of the impending visitors.
"Darling! Sammy Jo is dead! How? we don't know all the facts yet. Maybe the police can tell us?"
A couple of undercover officers aproached them.
"Steven Carrington? You will have to come with us. We will have to detain you for questioning regarding the murder of Sammy Jo Reece!"
Shocked faces abounded, just as Steven was about to be led out of the ballroom, a commotion could be heard in the lobby. Everyone turned to look as a man ran in brandishing a gun.
"Amanda! If you come with me now.. No one will get hurt!"
Max Benaducci had arrived, injuring a security guard at the entrance. Everyone had momentarly frozen with shock, just then Krystle ran out of a side passage with Dylan in pursuit, Max was caught off guard, a struggle ensued, shots were fired, blood was spilt. Who had bitten the bullett!!

DYNASTY REVISITED : EPISODE 22.. END OF THE ROAD ...

The story so far...
Krystle continues to receive strange phone calls..Alexis tells her the truth about Amanda..With Connie missing, Max is still at large...

Fallon Colby decided to do some early morning shopping, she needed to get out in the fresh air, a drive always gave her time to think. She had texted her mother to wish her good luck for the day, Fallon could not face a court hearing, she ceratinly sat though enough over the years. She turned on the radio, to listen to a few sounds, she noticed a lone figure at the side of the road, standing next to a motorbike. As she drove nearer to him, she recognised the face as that of the man she had seen Krystle having coffee with at the diner. Fallon usually did not stop for wayside strangers, but this guy was different, she was curious to talk with Krystle's admirer.
"Are you stranded? Need help with anything?"
Fallon had pulled in from the road and popped her head out the window, the cool air felt good against her face.
" Good morning mam! The winter air always plays havoc with Jinny! Just catching my breath..Letting the old girl rest!"
Fallon laughed at the way he described his bike, she could see how attractive he was, she could practically excuse Krystle for falling for him!
"I thought your bike may have broken down.. or you maybe run out of gas! I am Fallon Colby.. Do you live around here?"
Fallon turned off the ignition, she then got out of the car to stretch her legs.
"Nice of you to stop Mrs Colby. Dylan Barrows is my name.. Just visiting Denver.. Maybe find a job for a few months. I used to have a sister living in these parts.. She is dead now!"
Dylan took his gloves off, running his hands through his dark curly hair..
"I have seen you before. You seem to know my step-mother.. Krystle Carrington?"
Fallon wondered what his reaction would be to the revelation that she knew about his rendezvous with Krystle.
"Krystle! She is your step-mother? You must be Blake Carrington's daughter? Sure..I met Krystle, the same way as I have just met you. She is a real lady.."
Dylan stood facing her, he found her to be most attractive.
"I have to admit it did make me wonder why you were both at the diner."
Fallon stood with her hands on her hips.
"She gave me a ride to the gas station.. Old Jinny was giving me trouble that day. We had a coffee while the repair shop tended to her..the bike that is!"
Fallon had to admit, he sure had intense dark eyes..
"You mentioned you might be looking for work? My mother has a hotel which she has just finished having revovated. It is reopening tomorrow night with a gala event. She mentioned they still needed staff..I can make a call if you are interested? "
Dylan smiled at her, he was willing to turn his hand to anything, this road was certainly a lucky one for him.
"Gee Mrs Colby that is real good of you. I am not afraid of a little hard work"
Fallon wrote down the address of 'The Morell Plaza' for him, she only hoped she was doing the correct thing..Call it her good deed for the day!
"You drop by and say I sent you. Shall I tell Krystle you were asking for her?"
Dylan looked at her, not sure what to say...
"Maybe it is best you don't mention me.. We came to an agreement we would not meet again..She told me she was married and she didn't feel right meeting me.."
Fallon agreed not to tell Krystle.. She did however feel he still held a torch for her.. Probably why Krystle did not want to see him again.
"If you are sure I can't do anymore for you, I will be on my way.. I plan a spot of retail therapy to give me a lift!"
They both shook hands, then she was back in the car and she gone. Dylan watched the car speed off into the distance. He smiled to himself, thinking how lucky this highway had been for him.. Firstly meeting the lovely Krystle and now Blake Carrington's daughter. He had heard many stories about the mighty Blake Carrington and his infamous family, not all of it favourable. Now he may have another opportunity, to work for the powerful Alexis Colby. Dylan put his helmet on, then his gloves, he started up the bike, pausing for a moment.. His plan was well in gear, he thought of his sister as he sped off into the landscape, leaving a trail of dust in his wake!

Monica Colby sat in the lounge of The Ritz Carlton, she had arranged to meet Dominique Devereaux who was due in Denver to see Blake. She also was informed of Alexis's gala event and decided it might be worth attending! Even though she had not been invited, Dominique did have many influential friends in Denver, one of whom had been invited and needed a date! Jonathan De Wolffe was a big player in event management and one of the countries top concert promoters.. She always enjoyed been in his company, even if he was thoroughly gay with a penchant for glamorous women to accompany him to society events..
Monica decided to have a skinny latte while she waited, from experience, Dominique was never on time for any appointment! After all she did work for her, for many years, she knew her routine better than she did! Monica scanned the room to see if she knew anyone, although this time of the morning the lounge was very quiet. As she sipped her coffee, she peered over the rim of her cup, she noticed a familar face on the other side of the room. She tried to remember where she had seen him before.. It was not from Denver, it had to be in California, he did have a deep tan..Monica never forgot a face, it was just as she got older, it took longer to attach names to them. Monica finished off her coffee, lost in thought, disturbed by an incoming text on her mobile phone. She quickly read the text, dismayed to discover that Dominque was delayed in New York and would not get to Denver till later in the day, she would have to cancel their appointment. Monica sent her a text back to say she would meet up at 'The Morell Plaza' opening. She had no sooner finished sending the text, when she was surprised to find her mystery man standing over her..
"Miss Colby! So nice to see you again.. It has been a while! How is the music business?"
Monica was caught off guard, but she began to realise who he was..
"I have given up the music business.. Too much manufactured crap. No originality!"
Monica shook his outstretched hand.
"That is true. Maxwell La Ducci. Film producer.. Hospitality co-ordinator!"
Monica remembered him now as the man Connie Rich worked for. He used to supply the entertainment for the aftershow parties in the form of his so called actresses. Monica never did trust him, she found him attractive, she hated his attitude. He looked a little different than before, not as confident, his hands seemed unsteady, he was not as groomed as she had remembered.
"What brings you to Denver? I saw a friend of yours recently..Connie Rich?"
She sensed an unease in him when she mentioned Connie.. Maybe they had a falling out?..
"Connie Rich! Where did you see her? "
Maxwell ran his fingers through his dark hair.
"I saw her at a dinner party. She was with a girl I know. If I see her again I will tell her you were asking for her. I might see her tomorrow evening at an event at 'The Morell Plaza'.. Will let her know."
Monica put her phone back in her purse and got up to leave.
"Was the girl she was with..Amanda Carrington? I would really love to catch up with her!"
Monica looked at him, he seemed desperate for want of a better word.. She began to realise, that maybe Maxwell La Ducci was the reason Amanda and Connie were friends! Monica turned to retrieve her jacket from the seat beside her, when she turned back to say goodbye to him, he was gone. She looked around, he had left the lounge.. What on earth was Maxwell La Ducci up to?

The day began with s chill in the air, grey skies, frost on the ground. Alexis had not slept too well, so many thoughts invading the midnight hours. She dreaded having to see Jeremy Van Dorn's face again, at least she had her gala event to look forward to the following evening. She studied her face in the mirror, not bad for an old broad, although she did not feel any older, a little tired, but what busy woman of today wasn't? Alexis fixed the collar of her Black Thierry Mugler suit, she stroked the fur cuffs, she then attached her sable stole.. Apart from the chilly weather, she decided a touch of glamour was needed to enhance the proceedings. Alexis was delighted that Victor Bonaducci had decided to stay in Denver till the end of the week.. He would accompany her to her gala event and he would try his best to sort out his prodigal son.. Alexis finished her preparations and went downstairs to find Amanda and Frank Mulligan waiting for her, it was almost time to leave for the courthouse.
" I suppose we are as ready as we ever shall be! Amanda darling! How are you feeling today? Victor is doing everything he can to find that monsterous son of his."
Alexis gave Amanda a reassuring hug..
"I am fine mummy.. Knowing I have so much support, means alot to me.."
Alexis gave her daughter a kiss on the cheek.
"Alexis! Victor is downstairs.. He will follow us in his car."
Alexis grabbed her purse, took Amanda's arm as they made their way to the elevator. Ten minutes later they were on their way.
The black Mercedes glided through the streets of Denver, on it's way downtown. Alexis took a sip of chilled sparkling mineral water while Amanda sat next to her mother, checking her lipline looking into her Cartier compact mirror. Frank sat in the drivers seat, guiding them to their destination. Alexis checked her mobile phone, she noticed the car had come to a virtual crawl.
"Alexis! There seems to be some sort of accident up ahead. You both wait here while I go and check."
Frank got out of the car, to investigate the melee..the ladies sat waiting for news, their curiosity heightened.
"Must have been a car crash. Why are people so careless these days?"
Alexis put her phone back in her purse, applied another coat of lip gloss, and fixed her fringe. Minutes later Frank returned to the car, bearing extraordinary news.
"Alexis! There has been a major accident. You will never believe this but the transport vehicle bringing Van Dorn to the courthouse, just collided with an oil tanker! Both the driver and Van Dorn are dead, the accompanying officer managed to jump free from the vehicle, before it exploded."
Alexis was shocked, she would hardly shed a tear for Jeremy, but she did not expect it to end like this.
"My god! So Jeremy Van Dorn has started his afterlife in hell, on this highway.. Are they sure it was him?"
Frank could not answer that question, Alexis looked at Amanda, could it really be all over?

DYNASTY REVISITED : EPISODE 21 .. REVELATIONS.

                     REVISITED ....
            The story so far ......
Alexis catches up with an old friend, Victor Bonaducci, whose son Max is terrorising Amanda..Krystle has been getting mysterious phonecalls.. Amanda discovers her friend Connie is missing....

Amanda sat on the bed, she did not know what to do, where to go! She feared for Connie's safety, there was no predicting what Max would do to her. Amanda sat thinking, her thoughts disturbed by a sound from the living area. Her heart began to race, had Max returned to snatch her away, as he had Connie? Grabbing her mobile phone from her purse, she speed dialed her mother's number, it went to voicemail. Amanda's hands were shaking, she managed to get up off the bed and make her way to the bedroom door. The door was partially opened, she slowly opened it fully, relief flooded her being when she discovered her mother and Victor Benaducci there!
"Mummy! Thank heavens it's you! I thought it was Max!"
Amanda ran to her mothers arms, she felt almost childlike, she needed the protection of her parent.
"Darling! What happened? Where is your friend?"
Alexis gave her daughter a hug, then she released her, to try and find out what exactly was going on.
"I got a text message from Connie. She asked me to hurry over here..She needed to talk! When I got here she was gone..There was a note on the bed from Max.."
Victor sighed, he felt despair at the depths his son was prepared to sink to, in order to seek his pointless revenge. While Alexis comforted Amanda, he went into the bedroom to read the note. Victor stuffed the note into his jacket pocket, then returned to the sitting area to join Alexis and Amanda.
"I could kill that son of mine! I may have not aways been the perfect gentleman.. but I draw the line at abusing women. I am deeply ashamed!"
Alexis put her hand on his shoulder, by way of comfort.
"Victor Darling! We can't be totally responsible for the actions of ones children. Even though we might feel the burden."
Victor nodded, even though he agreed with her, he still could not help but feel responsible.
"I cannot help my feelings, Alexis. We must try and put an end to his reign.. Tough measures must be administered."
Alexis could not argue with that course of action.
"I totally agree. All we can do this evening is have a stiff drink. I do believe Amanda could do with a large brandy."
With everyone in agreement, they left the hotel suite, in search of the bar.
It took Amanda two days to recover from the shock, she was shaken, worried about her friend, where she was, what condition she was in , if alive! Amanda was so relieved to have the support of her mother, not to mention the safe haven of the penthouse.
Alexis worried for her daughters safety, if not her sanity, with Max Benaducci at large.. But she had so much on her mind at this moment.. What with the Jeremy Van Dorn trial beginning tomorrow, she was expected at the courthouse in the morning. She had happier events the evening after, with the gala opening of 'The Morrell Plaza'. Everything so far was going to plan, she was thrilled that all the guests she had invited had accepted her invitation, all but a few..Steven had rung to say he would fly in with Bart, the morning of the gala.. She must book him into one of the luxury suites. Alexis ticked the remaining boxes on her to do sheet and sat back a smile on her face at her achievement. She was delighted to welcome a new arrival in the form of her son Adam Carrington, who had informed her in advance, that he had some news regarding Frank Mulligan's mystery friend at The Fallbacker Clinic.
"Mother! I can't stay very long.. I just wanted you to see these photographs while they are fresh from the lab."
Alexis sat upwright on the sofa, alerted to the impending revelation. Adam handed her a brown, hardbacked envelope, she eagerly removed the batch of b/w photo's from within.
"Darling! Will I be shocked?"
Adam poured himself a scotch, awaiting her reaction.
"Mother! I do not honestly know!"
Alexis scanned the images, they obviously featured Frank, but in all their clarity, she found it difficult to identify the wheelchaired patient, his hat and sunglasses, almost a disguise, his unshaven beard hiding a multitude.
"It is hard to tell if it is Dex. I guess there is a possibility. He has bound to have lost weight and I imagine he is in pain."
Alexis studied the photo's again, she longed for a sign of recognition, that would confirm that he was in fact here beloved Dex.
"Alexis! I did not realise you were into photography!"
Both Adam and Alexis had been so engrossed in the images that they failed to hear Frank Mulligan enter the penthouse.
"Frank! I totally forgot you were calling to take me to the hotel. I gather it is no use pretending now. Who is that man you regularly visit at the clinic?"
Alexis felt embarassed at been caught in the act, as where, she would hate him to think she was somehow checking up on him.
"I had presumed that I was entitled to a private life! What exactly are you trying to find out about me?"
Frank took the photo's from her and quickly viewed them.
"Frank! Adam was just been doubly careful.. When he discovered you made regular visits to the Clinic, I became intrigued. I got a wild idea that this mystery man might just be Dex!"
Frank threw the photo's on the coffee table and sighed.
"I do realise Adam is only looking after your best interests. I respect that. I respect you Alexis! That man is not Dex Dexter. He is my very best friend, wounded by a stray bullett, while on an undercover mission."
Frank was not too upset at the interference in his private life, he learned to accept situations and the people who orchestrated them.
"Thank you Frank for disclosing your personal business. I guess I am relived it is not Dex. It makes things alot less complicated."
Alexis touched his arm, she knew in her heart that he was a good man, who could be a true friend.
Meanwhile at the Carrington mansion, Krystle could not get the revelations regarding Amanda's friend Connie Out of her mind. She wondered if Alexis had any knowledge of Connie's profession. Although they both never did see eye to eye on anything, Krystle was tempted to ring her and ask her out straight. Krystle pondered the idea for a few minutes, she then decided to go ahead, what was there to lose? She was just about to lift the receiver when the phone rang.
"Hello! Who is this? Could you have the decency to say something?"
Krystle was becoming more and more frustrated at the persistence of the phone calls. She finally told Blake about the frequency of them, he seemed concerned, but promised to step up security.
"It is all in your head!"
With those whispered words, the caller hung up. Krystle stood in a state of confusion, was somebody trying to drive her insane? She sat down for a few minutes to somehow focus. She then returned to her original plan, she would phone Alexis.
"Alexis! I need to ask you a question regarding Amanda's friend, Connie.."
Krystle was not at all keen on asking Alexis anything, as most often than not she was given a short, sharp answer.
"Krystle! So nice to hear from you! Looking forward to the event of the season? I am so glad you both accepted my invitation. Why on earth would you be interested in Miss Connie Rich?"
Alexis was more than curious.
"Alexis I am a little worried about Amanda. I got some information from a very good source, who claims that Connie is a call girl! I can't quite understand what they have in common!"
Alexis pondered for a moment, should she tell her everything? Knowing full well she would tell Blake. However Blake was Amanda's father, she may as well reveal the secret to him.
"Krystle! I do know what Miss Rich used to do for a living. I can assure you Amanda is not involved in that paticular profession. She got involved with a man who turned out to be far from what he pretended to be. She thought he was a legit Hollywood producer, turned out he made porn films, his actresses moonlighted as escorts offset! After his studio was shut down, he turned to drugs and drink, he began to abuse her. Connie helped her escape from his clutches, they arrived in Denver, but this man has followed them here."
Krystle was shocked, she was relieved that Amanda was not involved in anything seedy, but she felt concern that this man was still at large.
"I don't know what to say, I never imagined there was so much intrigue in all this. What are you going to do about this guy?"
Alexis sighed and lit herself a cigarette.
"Krystle! I honestly do not know. But one thing is for certain, no man will harm a hair on any of my childrens heads and live to tell the tale!"

DYNASTY REVISITED : EPISODE 20 .. CATCHING UP!

                                                                 REVISITED :
The story so far...
Krystle decides to stop meeting Dylan, Amanda coninues to recieve threats from Max, while Connie tells Alexis the truth ......
Alexis had so much on her mind, what with the upcoming trial, the gala opening of her hotel, the chance that she might see Dex again and now the worry of Amanda's choice of unsuitable suitor. Alexis sat at her vanity mirror applying her makeup, then she teased her hair, finally enveloping herself in a mist of Shalimar from her Waterford Crystal atomiser. She now felt glamorous and ever so ready to greet her lunch guest, whom she had not seen for almost three years. She recalled her last meeting with Victor Bonaducci, who she has known for over thirty years. He had invited her to cut the ribbon on his new club just off Hollywood Blvd. Victor had the good sense to rise above his less than legal beginnings, when he was involved in fencing stolen goods and protection rackets.. She had fallen for his Italian charms, always well dressed, suit, silk shirts, the best of style, how she found it hard to resist a well turned out male! She relived the passion, the excitement of their affair, it only lasted six months, but what a time it was. She knew it would have been impossible to keep up that momentum, she couldn't live with an anti-climax. Alexis took one last look in the mirror, smiled at her most presentable reflection and went downstairs to check the table arrangement!
She had organised a catered lunch, Wolfang Puck would be catering the gala, so she had a full lunch sent over from Spago at the Beaver Creek Resort nearby..She needed a glass of champagne to get her in the entertaining mood, a quick cigarette to calm her. But she had no sooner lit up the cigarette and took a few sips of her cool beverage, when her visitor entered the penthouse.
"Victor! So good to see you! You never change!"
Alexis stubbed out the cigarette and gave her guest a big hug.
"Alexis! Ravishing as ever. What is your secret?"
They both laughed, she poured him a glass of champagne and they both sat down at the dinner table.
"Thank you Darling! Maybe I should write a book, revealing some of My Secrets. It seems every alley cat is putting pen to paper these days!"
Alexis put the flute to her lips, her eyes staring at her handsome guest as she sipped.
"Yes! I saw your cousin Sable on tv last week! You two still at each other's most kissable throats? Alexis I am sorry for the way that idiot son has treated your daughter."
Victor took a cigar from his breast pocket and lit up, he remembered how she used to love the smell of his cigars..
"Yes Victor darling! That son of yours is sure drifting in the wrong circles. I won't stand by and see any of my children abused..You will have to reign him in..Place your strong fatherly hands on his weak little shoulders!"
Alexis stared at Victor, he was still a most handsome man, the jet black hair he once had, now a refined shade of silver, his tan had not faded over the years, he could sure give George Hamilton a run in the sun, for his money!
"I am truly embarassed Alexis! I tried so hard with that boy. I blame myself for the way he has turned out. I found out about his movie career, his call girl ring, I had to put a stop to it all. I believe the abusive outburts occured after his business ventures started to unravel. I was the cause of the aids rumour, in the porn business any hint of an aids outbreak and everyone dries up! With no output and no girls to do overtime..his sleazy empire fell apart."
Victor had been involved in undercover crime, but anything to do with prostitution and drugs did not appeal to him.. Besides his own sister had become an addict, selling herself to feed her habit, then she overdosed. How he spent months trying to find the bastard who supplied her. Turned out it was a bitch, who got her comuppance, when a rival threw battery acid in her face and destroyed her questionable good looks. It was not long after, that she herself took an overdose and died. Victor got out of the crime business and went straight, got a job in a club as a host, soon promoted to manager. With enough money saved, picked up tips from clients on stocks and shares, in the early 80's invested, made a mint and decided to open his own night club.'Victors'.. Now he owned three top clubs and Casino's, in New York, San Francisco and Hollywood.
"Darling! I don't blame you for your son's actions.. What I want to know how can we stop him for terrorising her.. He knows she is here in Denver and he has started to send messages to her via the hotels her friend is staying at."
Victor only wished he knew what to do with his son.. if only he had turned out like his younger sister, Ariana. She had made a good life for herself as a top model now an actress..By time he divorced his wife Lizette, an ex Vegas showgirl, the kids had grown up, they hardly needed his guidance, or so he thought.
"Alexis we will have to set a trap for him, let him find Amanda. I have been told he is a hopless drunk now, would not surprise me if he has started using, he had a cocaine habit many years ago. I paid for him to attend rehab, it did him good for a few years. Old habits die hard!"
Alexis had to agree, the only way to put an end to this was to let it run it's course. She certainly did not want to put Amanda's life in danger, but with backup, they could capture Max Benaducci and put an end to his stalkings.
"We will have to devise a plan!.He has to be stopped!"
They bought raised their glasses, it was time to eat, she summomed the waiter, who waiting in the wings.. Max's days were certainly numbered!

Krystle Carrington sat back drinking a cup of black coffee, whilst looking through her diary, the fire warming her as she relaxed in the study. She felt so safe and secure, she was relieved that he headaches had subsided, she felt healthy and whole again. She thought about Dylan, she could smile now at how girlish she had been, allowing herself to fall for a much younger man. Maybe her brain had become affected by those headaches, she had almost felt a compulsion to go along with him, the danger was exciting! Krystle smiled to herself, sipping her coffee, a voice brought her to her senses.
"Krystle! Can I join you?"
Sable Colby had returned from her book tour, she was exhausted, but she had enjoyed visiting all the major cities and meeting the many interviewers and the public. Another round of book events would commence in a few months, when the paperback edition was published.
"Sable! Of course! Tell me all about your travels.. I had a chance to read your book.. Certainly no shortage of drama!"
Sable sat down in the armchair facing Krystle by the fire.
"You know I feel as if my whole life has been one long drama! But what is that old saying..'Truth is stranger than fiction.' I had to come back, that ghastly Van Dorn trial starts next week. Would you believe I got an invitation to Alexis's opening!"
Sable took a golden envelope from her purse, removing the invitation concealed within.
"Blake and I got one! I was not keen on going..But he said we should make an appearance.. I am curious to see what she had done with the place!"
Sable raised her eyes to the ceiling.
"I can just imagine. She only invited me so she can gloat. She will probably have some acid comment to make, knowing her as I unfortuanetly do!"
Krystle had to agree, they both could only laugh, the sound of the phone ringing disturbed their moment of mirth.
"Hello! Hello! Who is this?"
Krystle waited a few seconds more, before she hung up the phone.
"Krystle! No one there?"
Krystle sat back down, facing Sable.
"No! I could hear breathing! It's probably a wrong number.. I doubt if it's an obsence caller!"
They both laughed, but Krystle did wonder, she was not afraid, but she hated the unknown and this was the fourth similar call in two days. She had not told Blake, it was pointless worrying him..
"Krystle! On the subject of Alexis..What kind of a girl would you say Amanda is?"
Sable put the invitation back in her purse, waiting for Krystle to answer her..
"Amanda? To be honest I don't know her as well as maybe I should. She is Blake's daughter, but we never really got to know one another. Sure we have dined together, had lunches and chats, but I honestly can't say I know her too well. Why do you ask?"
Krystle was intrigued, Sable must have something on her mind.
"Now Krystle I am not one to gossip, however I have been told some information concerning Amanda's friend, that girl that came to Denver with her!"
Sable took her lip balm from her purse and moistened her lip, the Denver winter chills playing havoc with her pout.
"Information? Anything you would like to share with me. Is Amanda in trouble?"
Krystle was curious, she hoped the girl was not in trouble as if she was, Blake would take it upon himself to carry the burden.
"I could not truly say if she is in trouble.. However Monica informs me that Miss Connie Rich is a call girl. So one can only imagine why Amanda would be involved with her.. "
Krystle did not know what to say, or indeed what to think.. She only hoped there was some innocent explanation, as how would Blake take it if it was true that Amanda had becoming involved in the oldest profession!

Amanda was relieved to have finally revealed her secret to her mother, she only hoped she was able to help. She should not have been surprised to discover how close, Alexis had been to Max's father. She did wonder what could he possibly do to control his son, to stop him persuing her, other than have him executed! No matter how she feared, even hated Max, she certainly did not want him dead. Amanda recalled the first time she set eyes on Max Benaducci, it was at a party in St Tropez. An old friend of hers had just gotten engaged to a greek millionaire, with a yacht in every port! As she sat sipping champagne on a banquette at Le Byblos, she could not help noticing the attention she was getting from one of the most exciting looking man she had ever seen. It was not long before they were dancing the night away, dinner at Club 55 the next evening, she was hooked. It only took a month, before she was sharing his Hollywood Hills home. She had fallen in love with him, there was no going back now. That first few months was bliss, he showered her with gifts, although material things never meant that much to her. A trinket from Max, usually meant the most exclusive bauble from Cartier! A token of love usually turned out to be a one on a kind piece from Vuitton.. If he had to cancel a dinner date, he presented an exclusive bag from Hermes.. Max was certainly generous, but then his empire was reaping in the rewards, the appetite for porn, rarely satisfied, the output from his studio limitless. Amanda had been content in believing all the lies he told her, how naive she had been not to see the signs. She had spent so many years in Europe, how she possibly distinguish a Hollywood starlet from a heavyweight harlot! Amanda sighed, everyone had to learn by their mistakes, she had certainly reached a learning curve. Amanda brushed her hair, she was due to meet Connie at her hotel for dinner, time to catch up. She had hoped Connie would have accepted Alexis's offer for her stay at the Penthouse, even though it was only a spare box room, at least it was a safe haven. Amanda applied some lip gloss and was just about to spray a little scent, when she was alerted by an incoming text message.
" Mandy! Come over quick! I need to see you!"
Amanda was puzzled as she read the text message from Connie. Why did she need to see her so urgently? After all they had already made plans to meet.. Amanda sensed danger, but she would have to go and see her.. Amanda pressed the call back to see if she would answer, but it eventually went into voice mail. Amanda decided to take the chance and go, grabbing her coat and her purse she ran downstairs. She had to tell someone where she was going, alert them to the possible danger. The penthouse was deserted, her mother had gone out, she had taken Victor Bonaducci to see her new venture, Alexis also wanted to oversee the final preparations for her gala opening. She decided she would leave a message with the lobby security guard, he could inform her mother when she returned.
Twenty minutes later Amanda stood outside the door of Connie Rich's suite at the Ritz Carlton.. Amanda held her breath, she felt nervous as she rang the suite doorbell. After three rings, there was still no reply, Amanda decided to try thr door, she managed to push the door open without any effort. She slowly entered the room, not knowing who or what she would find. One quick scan of the sitting area, no sign of Connie, she felt uneasy.. She checked out the bathroom, then the bedroom, all were empty, except for a carefully placed envelope sitting on the centre of the king size bed. Amanda quickly grabbed the envelope, tore it open and proceeded to read it's contents..
" Mandy! Don't worry about Connie..She will get her just desserts! You and I ... Our time is now!"
Amanda threw the note back on the bed, she found it hard to breath, she felt like running away.. Was there any escape?

DYNASTY REVISITED 19 : MEN IN MIND..

                          REVISITED ....
The story so far ....
Amanda receives a menacing note from the elusive Max..Alexis finds out Frank has a secret!
Alexis had spent a sleepless night thinking about Adam's revelations concerning Frank's visits to The Fallbacker Institute to see his mystery male friend. Adam assured her he would have photographs of the pair, taken in the grounds of the clinic, for her in a day or so. She was not aware of the clinic, but was informed it was twelve miles outside Denver. Alexis thoughts were filled with what if's! All of them entertaining the notion that somehow the mystery wheelchair bound male, could be more than just a friend, a brother perhaps? Could he be her beloved Dex? Could he have faked his own death? It was no secret that after the tragic events of the fall from the balcony, where Dex apparently died, she had spent the next five day unconcious. Even when she did come around it was another three days before she was told that Dex had died in the fall. By that stage he had been buried, his body cremated as part of his last will and testament. It had been a private ceremony, no fancy frills, a simple wooden box. In fact to her knowledge it had been a closed coffin, no one had seen the body after it had been removed from the scene of the tradjedy, not even Sable who apparently was so distraught she had been sedated, missing the funeral! Alexis hoped it was Dex at the clinic, she could deal with his deceit later. But could she deal with the man he had become, having to face seeing the strong, athletic man she loved resigned to being a cripple, depending on others to look after him, as he had once looked after her.. However she did long to see him, even in this fragile state, after all he had saved her life, by taking the brunt of the fall. Alexis would have to wait and see what the photographs turned up.. If Dex was alive she would have to see him, for better or worse!
Krystle sat staring at her reflection in the mirror of her makeup bureau, she thought about her lunch the previous day with Dylan. She decided it was the time to tell him all about herself, the truth about he marriage, the fact that she was a mother. He seemed to take her revelations in his stride, but she knew deep down he was dissapointed. She knew she could not go on pretending to be someone she certainly was not! It was bad enough, to leave her own home, almost secretly, to meet a stranger, without even discussing the matter with someone, especially her husband! She had to admit to enjoying her lunch dates with him, not to mention the feeedom she felt riding on the back of his motorbike. It all made her feel rather young again, like the young Krystle Jennings. In fact Dylan reminded her of the first love in her life, Matthew Blaisdale, a man so loving, so strong and hardworking. It was hard to believe how he had ended up a regimental monster..What a tragic family his had been, poor demented Claudia burning to death in her hotel room, their young daughter Lindsay persishing in a vehicle crash in South America. Krystle realised how lucky she truly was, she had an adoring husband, a glorious daughter approaching her teens.. Krystle felt satified she had made the correect desicion in persuading Dylan that there was no future as far as romance was concerned. She decided she would not see him again as they had little in common, but the fact they both found each other attractive. She had felt great the last few days, no headaches or diziness, she only hoped she could stay healthy, she had so much to look forward to.
Amanda Carrington had no sooner calmed down after receiving the note from Max, then another delivery arrived in the form of a single black orchid. Amanda knew she was no longer safe, she spent much time at the hotel with Connie, but she had to tell Alexis the full story. She knew her mother had enough on her mind, what with the hotel opening and the Van Dorn trial. However she would want to know if her daughter was in trouble, Amanda hoped she would be able to help. She felt safe here in the haven of her mother's penthouse apartment. She lay back on the King size bed, wrapping the silk duvet around her, she thought about Max.
How she fell for his Italian charms, his dark eyes were so sexy, his jet black hair sleek like a panther. He charmed her with his masculine ways, his stylish dress sense, Armani suits, Gucci loafers, the scent of his Prada Amber pour homme, made her weak at the knees. How she loved whizzing around in his red ferrari, his pride and joy. It had all began well, he could do no wrong in her eyes, but then there came a change. His mood swings, his coldness towards her, then the viscious tongue, culminating in the abuse. She could not escape from him at that point, he treated her as a possession that he was not about to give up. Thank heaven for Connie, she never imagined her saviour would be a working girl. A high class call girl, the type she laughed at among her society friends. She liked Connie, she was certainly a woman of the world, yet she had a classy air about her. Connie ran the stable of girls for Max, she looked after the books, their living arrangements, a proper madame! Connie tried to warn her about Max, but she wouldn't listen, Amanda thought Connie had her eye on Max, little did she know the truth. Amanda now realised just now naive she was, thinking back to all the seedy operations Max was involved. When they met he told her he was a film producer, ran his own studio, with a successful catalogue of films. That much was true, he failed to elaborate on the fact that he ran a porn studio, with his productions hitting the adult dvd stores. She also discovered the bevy of glamorous actresses, whom she mingled with at the many parties held at their house in the Hollywood hills, were the stars of his steamy romps. When the girls were not performing in front of the cameras, they could be found appearing in any one of the twelve spare bedrooms of the house. Amanda was never a big follower of Hollywood films, so when he told her the girls were all up and coming starlets, who was she to argue. She first met Connie at one of these parties, Max had introduced her as an agent, who was looking after the girls on his roster of stars. Amanda lay back and thought how guillable she had been. Had Max ever really loved her, or was she just an attractive hostess in his Hollywood lifestyle. He had always told her how he loved her impeccable manners, her abundance of style, her well clipped tones, product of her exclusive finishing school. She did know he could be ruthless, she found it hard to believe he had become so different to the man she had first met. She knew it was the pressure of losing all he thought he was master of. She knew he was desperate, now his studio had been shut down, some of his stars had contracted aids, causing his other performers to quit. Lawsuits were pending against him, he did not care about that, his father would take care of that side of it. After receiving the note and then the flower, it was decided Connie should check out of the hotel she was staying in and move to another. But how long would it be before he tracked her down again. Max had it in for Connie as she had helped her get away from him, Connie could not stand back and watch the abuse he had begun to inflict upon her. Max without his movie studio in production, could not fully operate his call girl operation or his elegant escorts as he liked to call it! Amanda knew it was time to tell all to Alexis, she felt now her mother would understand and help her as best she could. Jumping out of bed, she quickly dressed and ran downstairs to confront her mother with the truth.
"Darling! Why didn't you tell me? "
Amanda was surprised to find Connie sitting with Alexis drinking coffee and smoking.
"Mandy! I told her everything! It's for the best..."
Alexis gave her daughter a hug, she would do everything in her power to protect her daughter.
"Darling! Don't worry that odious playboy won't harm you again. Max Benaducci, you are obviously nothing like your father! Victor would never stoop to beating up on women, for all his faults. Although not a man to cross, he is still the perfect gentleman!"
Alexis went to the telephone, scanned her address book and dialed.
"Victor! It's Alexis! It has been ages Darling! We need to talk.. You will fly into Denver. A great invention the Lear jet! See you tomorrow evening for dinner! Chow!"
Alexis smiled and lit up a cigarette, no one would threaten her child and get away with it!

DYNASTY REVISITED : EPISODE 18: ELUSIVE MALES..

                                                    REVISITED ....
The story so far................
Fallon decides not to tell anyone that she had seen Krystle with another man.. Amanda Carrington has a secret that she wont reveal, while she finds out she is not the only one!
Krystle Carrington could not get Dylan's fleeting kiss out of her mind, even though she tried to convince herself it was something she did not want to happen. If she was to be honest with herself, she almost enjoyed the thrill of a much younger man taking an interest in her. The attention he lavished on her could only be matched by that of the man she truly loved, Blake Carrington. She wondered why she was even entertaining another man, she could not help herself, it was as if another entity took her over, made her do things that were totally out of character. Krystle loved Blake, she had no intention of ever leaving him, how her friendship with Dylan would progress in the future, she was unsure. Krystle sat at her dressing table, she stared into the mirror, she was still an attractive woman, that had been proven. She finished applying her makeup, fixed her hair and sprayed a little scent, she had agreed to meet Dylan for lunch. She was now uncertain if she should keep the appointment, yet she was eager to see him, maybe today was the day she might tell him that she was a married woman. Krystle grabbed her coat, found her purse, she had a lot of thinking to do as she drove to meet her lunch date.
Amanda Carrington could not get the image of her stepmother Krystle, in another mans company and the kiss she had witnessed. She had somehow managed to avoid confronting Krystle in the hotel bar, what could she say to her, what would she have said in her defence? Even though she really wanted to take her by the shoulders and shake her, but she had problems of her own, she had not the strength to deal with any one elses.
"Connie! What should I do about Krystle? Maybe it's none of my business! To be honest I can't deal with this now.. Not with Max, lurking in the shadows!"
Amanda lay back on the large king size bed in Connie Rich's hotel suite.
"From what I have seen of Krystle, she does not seem the type to be playing around..But then again it's always the quiet ones!"
Connie had much experience of men and failed relationships, she could write a book on the subject.
"Connie, my father adores that woman..While my mother despises her.. She never trusted Krystle.. But then mummy holds an enduring jealousy that includes daddy and the life they once had."
Amanda felt confused, but agreed it was pointless drawing her own conclusions, time would tell.
"Mandy! Try and forget about your parents problems.. We have enough of our own with Mad Max out there!"
Connie sat on the bed, she gave Amanda a friendly hand squeeze, they both froze as a knock was heard at the door. Connie jumped up from the bed, rushed to the door, peeping through the spyhole to see who the caller was.
"Can you make out who it is?"
Amanda sat up on the bed, her heart beating as fast as it ever had.
"It's the bell boy. I will see what he wants."
Connie opened the door, greeted the hotel employee and took an envelope from him.
"What is it?"
Amanda got up off the bed and joined Connie by the wet bar, as she tore open the envelope.
"It is a note.. God! one of those paste jobs. How old fashioned!"
Amanda took the note, reading it aloud..

' Mandy!! I Am Getting Closer!!!
                                  It Won't Be Long...
                                           Now!!!!!!
                                               M ... xxx'
Amanda handed the note back to Connie, her heart was racing again, she could almost feel his breath on her neck...
"I told you Max would not give up that easy. I wonder would your mother help us? She is a powerful woman.. Maybe she might have some influence!"
Amanda looked at Connie, she did not really want to discuss her predicament with her mother, but she knew sooner or later, like it or not she would have to reveal all to Alexis.. How would he mother feel, when she found out her darling daughter had gotten mixed up with the mob!
Alexis sat sipping a brandy as she perused the guest list for her upcoming gala opening party.. She had recieved many acceptence cards and the event was shaping up to be one of the biggest and most glittering in Denver's society calender. Alexis was proud of all she had achieved and all her hard work in overseeing all of the renovations would be so worth it. She especially looked forward to moving into her lavish penthouse suite, a change of scenery would certainly do her good. She needed a fresh outlook to cope with the upcoming Jeremy Van Dorn trial, where she was to be star witness. Although she dreaded the fact that she would have to face him, at least she hoped she would get satisfaction in seeing him face justice and be awarded a suitable sentence. Alexis took a genrous sip of her brandy by way of an early celebration, she was delighted at a new arrival, in the form of Adam.
"Good afternoon Mother!"
Adam gave his mother a kiss on the cheek, he then went to pour himself a large scotch.
"Wonderful afternoon..Adam! Just checking the guest list for the party..Everyone who is anyone have accepted. I can't wait to see the hotel up and running again, show this town how a five star hotel should be run."
Adam took a sip of his beverage and sat down next to his mother.
"Mother! Have you seen Frank today?"
Alexis had finished her brandy and decided a cigarette was needed to complete the performance.
"Frank! I gave him a couple of days off. He said he had things to catch up on.. Besides with Van Dorn behind bars, I can relax a little. Why do you ask?"
Alexis took a drag from her cigarette, puzzled as to why he was inquiring about her handsome protector.
"Has he ever mentioned any ill relatives or friends? I have taken the liberty of having him followed, just to be sure. Especially after we discovered he was related to Dexter."
Adam paused, giving his mother time to answer.
"Frank and I rarely discuss our personal lives. Is there something you need to tell me?"
Alexis was intrigued, eager to know more about Frank Mulligan.
"It appears he pays regular visits to a clinic..The Fallbacker Institute. It specilses in patients with spinal injuries! He visits a male patient by the name of Dennis Dinsdale..This man apparently is in a wheelchair!"
Alexis sat up, her mind in a whirlwind of thought...
"How fascinating! Who on earth could that be? So Frank has a secret..A cripple in a wheelchair!"
Alexis sat back in her seat again..She was certainly intrigued.. She sat and wondered!
