Joan was honoured by Ladies of Variety with a silver heart in 2000..

Delighted to announce that Joan will be awarded The Silver Heart Award for her Outstanding Contribution to Film & Television by Variety on April 28th during the 75th Anniversary Variety Showbusiness Awards which will be held at The Londoner in Leicester Square. Joan has been an avid supporter of Variety for many years both in the UK and USA where she has been honoured on a number of occassions.

I am immensely grateful to be receiving the Variety Club Silver Heart Award for Outstanding Contribution to Film and Television. It is truly an honour. Variety, the Children’s Charity holds a special place in my heart, and I am thrilled to support their noble cause. Their tireless efforts in enriching the lives of children worldwide deserve our unwavering support. I eagerly anticipate the event, where we can all meet to celebrate the magic of entertainment and, more importantly, to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you, Variety Club, for this recognition.

Celebrating its 75th year, Variety, The Children’s Charity continues its dedicated support for disabled and disadvantaged children in the UK.
