Dame Joan Collins, Linda Gray and Donna Mills share positive message for women on first photoshoot together..
More recently she's enjoyed a career resurgence with roles in film and TV. "If I have a purpose now, it's to inspire women to say: 'Hey, it's not over,'" she says. "You reach 60, 70 or 80 and it's not over – you still have a lot to give and there's a lot you can do." It's a sentiment echoed by Linda. "When people say: 'You're over 40,' or whatever, you can either say: 'You're right, I'm old,' or you can think: 'Who the hell are you to tell us we're finished?'" The ladies hope to get together again by the end of the year for a film project which is still in development. '' Work tends to fade away at our age and in our business'' says Linda.. ''Yet we are still very vital. This is what we do we entertain people.'' It's a sentiment echoed by Donna, ''If I have a purpose now it's to inspire women to say, ''Hey! it's not over. You reach 60, 70 or 80 and it's not over, you still have alot to give and a lot you can do''.
''It was great fun seeing the girls'' says Joan, ''They look amazing''. Linda agrees..''It was like playing dress up with girlfriends, we had such a good time. Joan is used to wearing clothes like that, but I am a Californian girl, I am not a sequinney sort of person.'' Did they squabble over who wore what? ''Are you kidding? Please! . says Joan. ''Of course not, we each have our own style.'' Donna did make a beeline for the pinksequinned trouser suit. ''I fell in love with it, You feel strong when you wear something like that'', she says. ''Although I had to wear the highest shoes to make the pants fit!''
