My life through a lens: Actor and playwright Steven Berkoff shares the stories behind his favourite snaps...

1994: Joan Collins is ballsy, lively and fearless – the reverse of me. She had finished Dynasty when she joined me to make Decadence, a film of the play I’d written, and she was quite happy with the graphic nature of the material as it was all done satirically. There was no sex, although there was a scene where she rides me like a horse. People were surprised she agreed to do it but maybe she thought, ‘I’ve done Dynasty for years, the same old cobblers; this is Berkoff, who does all that alternative, dangerous stuff. It might be fun.’ She loved it.
