This 1975 film was intended for a family audience and is definitely matinee fodder. Filmed in Mexico and Spain, Joan was paid very little for her role as the glamorous saloon owner Miss Sonia. Oscar glory was many years off for Jack Palance, who no doubt had forgotten he made the film by time he won for "City Slickers". The film is perfect viewing for undemanding kids and apart from the dreadful dubbing and endless stock footage, it reminds me of those afternoon matinee's of my school days! Thankfully we get to hear Joan's own voice among the dubbing, unlike her previous Italian production, "The Referee". There are a variety of inferior DVD releases of the film available, however the best release is from Sterling Home Video, who have released a specia; edition. This features the original artwork on the cover, plus trailers and a good print of the film, as part of their Wilderness Family series of films..
