" What's My Line" was one of America's popular and long running game-shows which began in 1950 and continued until 1975..The idea of the game was the panel had to guess the occupation of the contestants, who usually had unique jobs.. Each episode had a mystery guest, who was usually a celebrity.. The show was hosted by John Daly and the regular panelists included columnist Dorothy Kilgallen.. Bennett Cerf, founder of Random House..ironically on the panel with Joan in her 1959 episode! Joan first appeared on the show in 1959, where the mystery guest was Art Carney..see video! Joan appeared as the mystery guest in April of 1962, where Chubby Checker also appeared...Her last appearance was in May of 1965 when she again took the mystery guest seat with then husband Anthony Newley.. Joan was pregnant with Sacha at the time, who was born in September of that year..."What's My Line" was also produced in England in the 50's by the BBC with Eamon Andrews Barbara Kelly. and revived again 1973 for Thames TV again with Andrews and panelists Penelope Keith and Angela Rippon.. In 1984 the series was revived again with David Jacobs and had panelists such as Nanette Newman and Kenneth Williams...
