As it was the Royal Variety Show on Monday night, thought would feature this shot of Joan meeting the Queen in the line up for the 1985 Royal Command Performance along with legends Lauren Bacall, Jean Simmons, Alice Faye and Celeste Holm. The show, which in those days was an actual star studded occasion, unlike the more recent editions of the show, the latest which you can see on ITV 1 on December 9th.
